Stroll down the hill to the lovely village of Catalkoy,to enjoy delightful restaurants, bars, a sandy beach, supermarkets and a casino. The Fez is a recommended restaurant and bar that often hosts some excellent evening entertainment. During specific months the hotel also operates a 5pm shuttle bus, great for a evening out at a Kyrenia bar, a sunset boat cruise or a rooftop dinner on the harbour under the stars.
The peaceful, lovely and friendly neighbouring village of Ozankoy is known as one of the most spectacular villages in Kyrenia. Having preserved the natural environment and famous for its olive, carob, and lemon trees, it boasts some of the best flora and fauna species around. Situated on the edge of the mountains it’s the ideal starting point for walking excursions. Wonderful views are also associated with Ozankoy and it offers one of the best views of the famous Bellapais Abbey, especially when the abbey is beautifully lit up at night. Other attractions include a medieval church and a traditional mosque.
If you would like to try something different, there is a popular riding club situated in Çatalköy that offers the opportunity of riding in the Kyrenia mountain range and viewing some historical sites! Fully guided riding, led by an experienced team, shows visitors how to ride and walk with a horse.
